[Kenny Burrell – Tin Tin Deo (1977)]
Die 90iger. Es war ein Zwischenzustand. Vielleicht hatte ich schon geschlafen, vielleicht hatte ich seit einiger Zeit auf der Matratze gelegen und war mit offenen Augen hingedämmert. Auf dem TV-Bildschirm wurde ein Testbild ausgestrahlt.
Es ist Kurz vor Sonnenaufgang. Der Fernseher hängt etwas unterhalb der Zimmerdecke in einem Eck der Matratze gegenüber. Das Testbild ist mit Musik unterlegt – aber ich hörte sie gar nicht. Dann holt mich plötzlich ein spezifischer Klang aus dem Nirgendwo – ich höre die Eingangsmelodie von Tin Tin Deo. Das ist meine erste Begegnung mit Kenny Burrell – ich dachte: was für ein Klang. Etwas in meinem psychischen Apparat ist von dem Sound wie durch einen perplexen Sog hingerissen, obwohl der Klang absolut ruhig und entspannt daherkommt.
