Welcome to the Synth DIY Wiki

I'm a huge fan of the work of Robert Moog (pronounced like "rogue"), who was one of the most important innovators in the field of electronic sound synthesis.  Sadly he passed away in 2005.  One of his most significant contributions was the synthesizer depicted below -- the "Minimoog Model D".  This synthesizer defined the basic method that synthesists would use to create electronic music for the next 40 years. Using the original schematics, I'm learning electronics engineering one circuit at a time with the end goal being the creation of a working "Minimoog-like" synthesizer.

Dintree - Synth DIY
Here are some DIY synth projects, complete with schematics and code where applicable. All the projects here are for learning and hobby use and are strictly for NON-COMMERCIAL USE ONLY. Please respect my time in designing these circuits and code. All attempts are made to provide accurate information but some tweaking might be needed. If you have specific questions you can email me, but keep in mind that I can't answer general electronics or synth questions, and I can't sell you parts, kits, boards, or help you program your microcontroller. If you ask me these things your message will be deleted. Ask questions like this on the electro-music.com forums or search on Google. ...

ElectroTechnique TSynth - Teensy 4.1 based DIY Synthesizer
https://youtu.be/uCA2L7CeWSE

Teensy 4.1 based synthesizer using PJRC Audio Board and Audio Lib
The pcb and front panel are available from Tindie.com with SMD 4067 multiplexers, 6N138 opto-isolator, capacitors and resistors fitted. The entire cost of parts to build TSynth will be around $99 if you buy components from the cheaper suppliers and the build time around two hours to solder.
